Loddon Social Enterprise, a Basingstoke charity that provides a safe working environment for adults with learning disabilities, has created a stimulating work space after specifying Heckmondwike FB’s Supacord carpet.
The charity chose Supacord carpet tiles in five striking colours to form a checkered pattern across its two open plan classrooms. Service users were asked to choose the colours and red, purple, blue and green were selected for the design’s alternating squares and yellow for the carpet’s border.
Supacord was recommended to Loddon Social Enterprise by its contractor Key Floors, as the company was aware that Supacord’s wide choice of colours would meet the charity’s brief of creating an eye-catching design.
Loddon Social Enterprise, which has 40 service users who attend between one and five days a week, will benefit from a long lasting flooring solution as Supacord’s tough, fibre bonded construction means it is strong enough to withstand heavy footfall, whilst retaining its appearance.
Available in a choice of 42 colours, Supacord is a popular choice for a wide range of heavy traffic environments, from offices to schools. Supacord does not ravel or fray, allowing it to be cut on site to create stylish and engaging flooring designs.
Supacord is also popular where sustainability is important, as it has been assessed by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) and has gained a BRE Global A+ environmental rating for use in school buildings, offices and retail outlets.
