Situated in East London, Royal Albert Dock is an exciting regeneration project worth £1.7bn. The new commercial district boasts 4.7 million sq ft of office, residential, retail and leisure spaces.
Developer ABP tasked design and build company Egg Group with creating different styles, and completing the fitout, for each floor of the four-storey Marketing Building.
The finished office building boasts a welcoming design with zoned areas in Amtico LVT and carpet to sensitively balance wellness in the workplace with efficiency.
Egg Group selected a variety of designs from the Signature and Access LVT collections, and Check, Variations and String Theory Carpet collections, to fitout the open-plan CAT A space, allowing prospective buyers and tenants to visualise how the building can be transformed.
A unique palette of colours and shapes to create inspiring flooring design
Employing a classic Woven laying pattern, Spotlight offers a distinctly modern look in sparkling monochrome. Utilising a striking contrast of Glint Void black and Glint Orb white abstract tiles, the combination provides a spectacular geometric look that steals the show.
Zoning and layout
On each floor, Amtico Carpet was used to help identify zones, with the neutral tones of Check Broadcloth creating a base for formal meeting areas, and the colourful pattern of Stringworks Kaleidoscope, from the String Theory collection, highlighting an informal yet functional space to sit with clients.
John Walters, founder of the Egg Group was very happy with the Amtico flooring, he said: “Egg was very impressed by the support offered by the Amtico sales team. Amtico’s collaboration has completed the fitout vision of this exciting new waterfront development at Royal Albert Dock.”
John continued: “The flooring products look fantastic and the developer, ABP London, is very pleased with the results and the positive feedback from the marketing agents, and prospective buyers and tenants.”
