A large private residence in the Rickmansworth area of Greater London sought to enhance the functionality and safety of their property during winter months. The solution involved the installation of 13 bespoke heated driveway mats under block paving to effectively melt snow and ice, which were successfully installed by Heated Driveway Systems.

To ensure a seamless and successful operation, all cold leads were terminated at the bottom of the driveway, facilitating centralized electrical connections in the garage and eliminating the need for junction boxes or joints.

Additionally, the system was equipped with a HDS fully automatic ice and snow melting control, incorporating two ground moisture sensors and one air temperature sensor to regulate the heating mats according to real-time weather conditions.
