An iconic independent online clothing brand has established its first physical store in Halifax, with an eye-catching colour scheme made possible using Crown Trade.

Northern Power Garms has an impressive new high street store on Horton Street in Halifax with a candy colour palette that perfectly embodies its vivid brand and Miami inspired logo, thanks to Crown Trade and interior designer, Helena Harrison from Beam Design.

Helena worked closely with the expert commercial colour studio team at Crown Trade and she created 3D visualisations of the space, so the retailer’s online concept could be brought to life in a physical space, and the perfect colours chosen. The final scheme included contrasting pinks and teals, that colour match the brand’s existing logo.

The store design features exposed brick and floor to ceiling windows, offering plenty of light to complement the vibrant colours throughout.

The design for the 700 sq ft space maximises it’s potential, with space to display the clothing, as well as a space kitted out with its own workshop, so business owner Jules Daniels can work on their garments on the shop floor. Helena Harrison also used clever colour blocking to deter customers from entering the workshop – as well as establish where the stores changing rooms were.

Due to the high traffic environment of the store, Crown Trade Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt was specified. A stain resident paint that can withstand regular and rigorous cleaning whilst offering a high colour saturation, it was ideal to give the finish needed, with the confidence that it would stand the test of time.

“With thousands of paint colours in our portfolio – we could easily match the perfect shades that would embrace the brand’s energetic personality – and they were all applied in our highly durable Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt to extend the maintenance cycle.”
