Clement steel windows for large country house

Clement steel windows for large country house

Steel windows and doors from Clement’s EB24 range, using clear glass, were specified to replace all the existing steel windows and doors at a large country house in Surrey. Sutton Place Farm is a large country house. It occupies an elevated position in beautiful landscaped gardens in the Surrey Hills area of outstanding natural beauty. The house, constructed in the 1920’s, still had its original steel windows -however these were single glazed, neglected and rusting.

The new owners were determined to restore Sutton Place to its former glory and sourcing the best replacement steel windows was a major challenge. Clement's EB24 range was the ideal choice. The client and design team chose a custom specification using traditional fittings including weld on external hinges, but added the latest innovation in concealed multi point locking systems. This provides first class weather resistance and security to BS7950.

The second floor roof of the house had an original eye-brow feature window. Clements experts were able to offer a solution to replicate the original design and achieve the same appearance, but with a high performing modern window. The intricate detail and curves are replicated perfectly using EB24.
