Bespoke matting makes an entrance at Reuben’s Retreat charity

Heckmondwike FB, the fibre bonded carpet manufacturer, donated the bespoke entrance area mat for Reuben’s Retreat in Glossop after the company was approached by local flooring contractor Manchester Flooring, which is carrying out some of the refurbishment work at the retreat. The company was aware that the design team at Heckmondwike FB can incorporate any logo or image into the design of its entrance mat products.

The personalised entrance mat, which was manufactured in Heckmondwike FB’s Diamond range and features the charity’s name and logo in an eye-catching design, will be used for the welcome porch of The Lodge at Reuben’s. The new Lodge at Reuben’s will be used as a support centre and to provide bereavement counselling.

Reuben’s Retreat was founded by Mike and Nicola Graham in 2012, after their son Reuben passed away from an atypical terratoid rhabdoid tumour, aged 23 months. The charity purchased a 21 bedroom property encased in 1.63 acres in 2014, and is currently in the process of raising funds to renovate the building so that it is fit for purpose. Reuben’s Retreat was founded to create a retreat for children with severe life threatening or limiting illness and their relatives, as well as families that have been bereaved of a child.
