Aside from an obvious love of street furniture and the outdoors, the team at Furnitubes are big fans of the arts, they love all things art and design! Post lockdown Furnitubes moved into their new office in London Bridge - a blank canvas, the team wanted the space to look and feel like Furnitubes.
Of course having their products here was a non-brainer, but they wanted a visual piece, a statement to represent their ethos, who Furnitubes are and what they do. (Furnitubes thrive in the outdoors and they are on a mission to get people outside. Their products are high quality, durable, built for the community and good for the environment).
So Furnitubes collaborated with a very talented illustrator and graphic designer, Valentina Zaggaglia who brought their vision to life in the form of an urban jungle. The hand-painted, playful wall mural depicts this by displaying Furnitubes products, like AKRI, RailRoad, Uniun and the iconic Bell bollards being used in the environment by people and animals.
Illustrated on the kitchen walls, cupboards and even on the mouse mats, the Furnitubes urban jungle represents who Furnitubes are in a fun way whilst bringing some character to the HQ!
“I love what street art brings to the urban environment. It brings colour, joy and uniqueness to an often uniform grey outdoor space. It gets people talking, smiling and looking up! Inspired by the work of street artists, we wanted to bring that creative spark into the office and reflect some of our core products. Most importantly, the mural makes me feel happy every time I look at it and it represents who we are". - Catherine Barratt, Managing Director.
